brief
CompAir - a world leader in compressed air - has recently undergone
a complete re-branding process transforming the corporate identity
of CompAir from consisting of several range brand identities to
a single strong coherent brand.
As part of communicating this change in identity to our target audience
CompAir decided to produce an in depth CD-ROM to serve several objectives:
1.Inform the target audience of the CompAir history and the changes
in the corporate identity.
2.Educate the target audience about compressed air and energy efficiency
3.Show examples of applications which depend on compressed air
4.Present the new world series of products to our target audience
As the CD-ROM had to fulfil several objectives and targeted to a
very broad and diverse target audience, the amount of material was
overwhelming. Therefore a key criteria for the success of the CD-ROM
was the structure and navigation.
solution
A fully interactive CD-ROM using a full range of new media techniques
including text, images, 2D Flash based animations, 3D visualisations,
virtual reality techniques, PDF downloads, voiceover, music and
live video footage.
25,000 CD-ROMs were cut for use to hand out at exhibitions and to
include in direct mail campaigns. 12,000 also appeared on the front
cover of Hydraulics & Pneumatics magazine.
testimonial
"ideas taking shape proved themselves experts in building a
structure that could fit in all the copy in an easy-to-navigate,
yet still impressive and stylish way.
The flexibility of ideas taking shape has really impressed me, for
a project already on a tight deadline the amount of changes achieved,
including the development of three animated sequences, would most
certainly leave other agencies struggling to meet the deadline.
Not only did ideas taking shape meet both the deadline and within
budget, they developed a CD-ROM which has been extremely well received
both internally among CompAir world-wide and also by readers of
the trade journal for which this CD-ROM was on the front cover.
In general it has been a pleasure to work with ideas taking shape,
who were quick to establish a friendly and productive relationship
for the development of this CD-ROM.
Many thanks for a job well done."
