Authoring tools such as Macromedia’s Authorware or Microsoft’s Visual Basic are ideal packages to develop more technical, bespoke pieces of software, which are capable of analysing large amounts of data in an organized and easily digestible manner. Generally the information is stored in a database, with a graphical front end developed to interrogate the data and display it on screen. Options can then be built in to save data into different formats and print data as graphs as required.
